The Sermon that almost wasn’t: Forgot it was Stewardship Sunday, but I’m going to Preach this anyhow: A Sermon on Mark

I was so excited to preach today, I forgot my congregation was doing a stewardship exercise instead of the sermon.

Grace and peace to you,

Brothers

Siblings

In Christ

This path that we travel together,

Is not a race

To Calvary

But a long walk

Towards freedom

Freedom from foolishness

Of desires that will lead to chaos,

Brokenness

And emptiness.

Towards Liberation

For many of us,

Because the world refuses to see us too,

As beloved children

Of the One,

Who accepts our gifts

Regardless how the world dismisses them,

Jesus Christ,

Our Savior and Lord

Amen.
