A New Covenant…

What’s the Good Word,

Church?

(pause)

The Good Word,

That people need to hear

Is that even through

The destruction

And displacement

Of homelands

And neighborhoods

(pause)

The oppression

And suppression

Of their humanity

And questioning

Of their value

Would finally see,

That new covenant

That the Creator God

Had always

Promised

Coming to

Fruition.

(pause)

Friday afternoon,

I sat with other clergy

And faith leaders,

Concerned community organizations

And,

Just

People

Hearing the stories,
