What’s the Good Word,

Church?

(pause)

God is our refuge and strength,

a very present help in trouble.

(pause)

When we read

Psalms such as this,

As people of faith

Are we drawn outside the surface

And plummet deep within

Allowing our very beings

To listen

To HEAR these words

And understand

The power

That sacredness

Translated into words, holds?

Especially,

Our siblings

Who are trapped

In the throes

Of

Struggle

Or

Insurmountable

Obstacles
