No other way

To express this,

Especially as we are observing

The changing of our liturgical year,

Moving towards a time of longing

Of waiting

Of hoping

Of hearing,

The whispers

Of the coming

Of the One

Who would transform this world

From a place of hopelessness

To a place

Where our very being

Would be

Strengthened

A place where,

We would be counted

As equal in one another’s eyes,

And bonded

To one another

Because of the birth

Of

A

Babe.
