Beloved,

In these times

When we are struggling

In keeping our authentic,

Real

Truthful

Selves,

When we can’t just dismiss someone’s pain

With a cliché verse from Scriptures

Especially,

When we profess

In our liturgy

But not always

With our actions

Our claim

To follow

Jesus

Instead,

We oppose every selfless act

With our limited grasp

For status

Greedy to hoard

God’s Grace

For ourselves

And those who think as we

Apathetic and unmoving
