Following Jesus,

Can no longer be seen

As just

The right and proper thing,

That we are supposed to do

But following Jesus,

Is a revolutionary act

Against the powers that be,

The powers that are trying to suppress

That empowerment

Deep

Within

That was birthed within us

Gifted to us,

That they try to steal that which

Does not belong to them

Because they know

If they acknowledge

The powerful presence

Of the One

Who gives us Life,
